Scientists from Tel Aviv University found that not every protein contributes to weight loss, and gave recommendations on which protein of origin should be selected for breakfast. This discovery will allow you to adjust the diet and eat protein foods for breakfast without much risk to the figure.
The specialists determined the relationship between the absence of excessive weight, the level of glucose in the blood and the type of protein that enters the human body during the morning meal.
To do this, they conducted a study, dividing almost 50 people who were overweight and suffering from diabetes, into three groups, two of whom received breakfast for certain foods. Thus, respondents in the first group consumed products with whey protein for breakfast, the second group members were fed in the morning with products of animal origin, and the third group could choose their own diet. The experiment lasted two days, after which the scientists conducted a laboratory study of the participants' blood and asked them to fill out a questionnaire.
It turned out that those participants who received dairy products for breakfast were able to lose weight and at the same time longer satiety after breakfast. In addition, they remained the lowest level of glucose in the blood.
Based on these data, scientists were able to conclude that whey protein, which is present in dairy products, maintains a feeling of satiety for longer than, for example, egg or fish protein.
This conclusion allowed Israeli scientists to summarize that the "right" protein that enters the body with breakfast will help not only to correct the weight, but also to combat diabetes.
